Julie is running for State Senate, District 2 to help working families. She supports economic development and fiscal responsibility. As a mother of elementary school children, she wants to make sure that our public schools and teachers are supported and funded. As a lawyer, she wants to make sure our Constitutional rights are protected.
She has only attended public schools and universities. She graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School with high honors. She also has a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. She is a magna cum laude graduate of East Tennessee State University with bachelor's degree in Psychology and minors in Biology and Humanities.
She is a registered patent attorney with the firm Marcum Tennyson PLLC. She also assists clients with trademarks, copyrights, and business law. She enjoys helping start-ups and small businesses.
